Rise of the "Retrosexual", an increase in men's attention to grooming

With the classic images of dapper and powerful men, (Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, that fly dude on 34th st whose outfit you were sweating), it's no surprise that an increased interest in men's grooming and classic style it taking off, and cosmetics companies are responding. (See inserted article "The Rise of the Retrosexual"

Long gone are the days when the heterosexual man is chided by his buddies for having an outfit that matches...GASP!
Being ridiculed for ones ability to match colors and textures, the desire to dress well, or to hire an image consultant to further these ends is a bit like making fun of the smart kid, ...where are those herbs Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs, ..oh yeah, ruling the know universe.

Looking good and feeling good often go hand in hand, and it's amazing what a tailored suit, a tie, or even a well fitting casual outfit can do for you, and how the world smiles upon it.

Dirty Denim and BONUS!!!

Dirty denim vest, no collar, great for a hot dancefloor!

Picked up this mean dirty denim vest at Armani Exchange on 5th ave today, (normally a slightly obnoxious and overpriced store with "AX" all over every garment, great for the cast of the Jersey Shore), but today was a HUGE SCORE. It retailed for $115, ON SALE FOR $29.99

Bonus buy 2 mens classic brief, trunk or boxer brief for $35!

clarity; getting your mind right, the positive affirmation of what you want.

I feel that a NewYear's Resolution is a weak and ineffective way to achieve your goals. Does something magical happen on January 1st, besides a beast of a hangover?  Of course not, yet many of us saddle the new year up with self promises sure to be broken, procrastinated on, and straight up disrespected like Barak Obama at a KKK rally.
If your resolution is to "drink less" or "lose fat" you are not truly utilizing all of your tools.  If you have read any self-help books in the last decade or two, you would have been hit over the head with how powerful your sub-conscious mind can be, and how open to suggestion it is, and they are, of course, correct.  Whatever you say, out loud or to yourself is picked up, processed and stored in your subconscious mind. It is an automatic goal striving mechanism; "lose fat, lose fat, lose fat" is still "fat" affirm that with "fit", "lean" or "healthy".  I was in a brutal motorcycle accident 3 plus years ago and I can honestly admit I would not have recovered, or been able to walk again without positively affirming my goal. Every time I would get on that stationary bike at Physical Therapy, (an hour before my appointment), as my legs were pumping I was imagining myself running, and feel out the sensations, the wind, the air,....etc..Get a clear positive picture of what you want out of 2011, and step up and get it!
For more on this, or some amazing books that can help get at me.
