clarity; getting your mind right, the positive affirmation of what you want.

I feel that a NewYear's Resolution is a weak and ineffective way to achieve your goals. Does something magical happen on January 1st, besides a beast of a hangover?  Of course not, yet many of us saddle the new year up with self promises sure to be broken, procrastinated on, and straight up disrespected like Barak Obama at a KKK rally.
If your resolution is to "drink less" or "lose fat" you are not truly utilizing all of your tools.  If you have read any self-help books in the last decade or two, you would have been hit over the head with how powerful your sub-conscious mind can be, and how open to suggestion it is, and they are, of course, correct.  Whatever you say, out loud or to yourself is picked up, processed and stored in your subconscious mind. It is an automatic goal striving mechanism; "lose fat, lose fat, lose fat" is still "fat" affirm that with "fit", "lean" or "healthy".  I was in a brutal motorcycle accident 3 plus years ago and I can honestly admit I would not have recovered, or been able to walk again without positively affirming my goal. Every time I would get on that stationary bike at Physical Therapy, (an hour before my appointment), as my legs were pumping I was imagining myself running, and feel out the sensations, the wind, the air,....etc..Get a clear positive picture of what you want out of 2011, and step up and get it!
